The founders of siRNAx, Inc have varied academic backgrounds that
together position them ideally to accomplish this mission.
Michael R. Simon, M.D., President
Michael R. Simon received his M.D. from New York University School of
Medicine. He is Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Departments of
Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Wayne State University School of
Medicine, Detroit, MI. Dr. Simon is a clinical immunologist who is the
co-founder of siRNAx , Inc. He is
the co-inventor of the relevant intellectual property.

R. Michael Garavito, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer
R. Michael Garavito, Ph.D. is Professor
of Biochemistry at Michigan State University. He received
his Ph.D. from Purdue University, then
did postdoctoral research at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel,
Switzerland. His
research has made important contributions to the methodology of protein
expression, purification, crystallization, and structure determination,
particularly of membrane proteins. He has extensive experience in the
understanding of the structure, function, and biosynthesis of proteins. His most recent research efforts have been
focused on the design and expression of novel protein structures that
are
designed for unique functions. This has
enabled the engineering of novel antibody-based delivery vehicles for siRNA. Dr. Garavito is the co-inventor of the relevant
intellectual property.

Chief Executive Officer
R. Scott Olson, MBA, is siRNAx’s CEO. Following a career in
finance, Mr. Olson
began consulting to life science companies in 1999. He earned an MBA
from the
Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He has founded
or been
an executive in seven companies, including Unitech Pharmaceuticals, a
therapeutic company acquired by GeneBlue Corporation. He has consulted
hundreds
of emerging companies in strategic and financial matters.
